The above pictures do not do justice to this little guy's gorgeous red color (he had just been shaved before the picture was taken); nor do they show off his lovely dairy skin. Truckie, born one of quints and bottle raised, is just as sweet as they come. He is easy to manage and obviously very willing to do his part for posterity. We plan to put his genetics to use while he is still here. His dam, DesertNanny Icy Blue Pearl *D 1*M V, VG was on the 305 this year. A very willing milker, Pearl's One-day AGS Milk test scores are as follows: 4.4#, 4.4% BF, 4.2% Pro at 101 days for a final score of 51.52. While on DHI, her top milk weight was 5.6# at six weeks into her lactation. Truckie's sire, Twin Creeks Icy Hot, has earned his + as a *S and through his daughters production, he has earned his ADGA +B. With Truckie's fine milking genetics shown by his pedigree, he should fit well in a herd looking for dairy character, general appearance and milkability.
