Siren was "pink" when I first clipped her; but, her coat has grown out to a beautiful rich red and she certainly emulates her father, BlueFlame, with his fine square structure and excellent front end. We didn't get around to getting udder pictures of this girl, but we are definitely happy with her lovely udder and her parallel milk able teats. Siren has inherited her lovely long neck and stretchy body from her dam, Tamar, who has just recently earned her Superior Genetics award.
Our show season was limited; she didn't get into the ring this year like her paternal sisters, DesertNanny BF SweetPotatoPie, who earned two legs to her permanent championship as a yearling first freshener, and CH DesertNanny BF SunSprite 3*D 3*M, who finished her ADGA CH status as a two-year-old at just two shows in Arizona and California. We're looking forward to showing this beauty next show season and we are looking forward to keeping her in milk this year on DHI.
Siren's kidding history: she freshened on March 10, 2011 with triplets, sired by DesertNanny BR Wasabi *S. We've retained one doeling, DesertNanny W Circe of Aeaea who is red and white with blue eyes (pictured on the right). We sold her littermate sister, blue-eyed and solid black, DesertNanny W Queen Amidala, a lovely doe with tons of dairy character, to Some Day Came Ranch, a show home in Florida, (shown left, below). It looks like that lovely long neck is an inheritable trait to continue focusing on.
